What is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD?

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a brain condition that affects both children and adults. It makes it harder to pay attention, stay still, and control impulses.

What are the Signs?

People with ADHD may:

  • Get distracted easily or forget things
  • Feel restless or fidgety
  • Interrupt or act without thinking

These challenges can affect school, work, and relationships, but they can be managed.

How is ADHD Treated?

ADHD doesn’t have a cure, but it can be managed with:

  • Medication to help with attention
  • Support at school or work
  • Healthy habits, like sleep, exercise, and routine
