Bladder cancer develops when abnormal cells grow in the lining of the bladder. It is more common in older adults and men. Bladder cancer is among the common cancers affecting Jamaican men, with smoking being a major risk factor.

Key Warning Signs

Blood in the urine, even without pain, is often the first sign and should never ignored. Other symptoms include frequent urination, discomfort when urinating and lower back pain.
