An Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) test — a simple, painless procedure that records the electrical activity of the heart.
Who Can Benefit?
All NHFCard holders can access the ECG benefit.
- The subsidy for the ECG test is $1,750.00 (per test).
- Maximum allowance is one (1) test per year.
How to Access the NHF ECG Benefit
- Visit your doctor and request a referral for an ECG test.
- Present your NHFCard at a participating medical office or diagnostic centre.
- Receive $1,750 off the cost of your ECG — once per year.

You can access the ECG test at participating medical offices and diagnostic centres islandwide.
Who Should Get an ECG?
An ECG is recommended if you have:
- Chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness
- An irregular or racing heartbeat
- A family history of heart disease or existing cardiac risk factors
