What is Heart Failure?

Heart Failure occurs when the heart cannot pump blood efficiently, leading to reduced oxygen supply and fluid buildup in the body.  Heart failure is often linked to hypertension and heart disease, which are among the leading causes of death in Jamaica.

Signs to look out for :

Shortness of breath especially during activity or when lying down, swelling in the feet or legs, fatigue, fast or irregular heartbeat and sudden weight gain.
