GLAUCOMA PATIENTS ENROLLED WITH NHF NOW HAVE ACCESS TO NEW EYE DROP

Over twenty-eight thousand patients enrolled with the National Health Fund for Glaucoma, now have access to a new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), which is a combination of Brimonidine & Timolol. This new eye drop, under the Combigan label receives a NHF subsidy of $1,038.41 per 5-millilitre vial.

Other additions to the NHF Drug List include a new generic label for Topiramate under the Topaz label, used for the treatment of Epilepsy and Depression. The subsidy for Topaz is $25.71 for each 25milligram tablet.

Over 1,300 prescription items are now on the NHF Drug List and patients and their health providers can review a complete list of subsidized prescriptions on the NHF Drug List on the NHF website (www. NHF.ORG.JM)
