RESIDENTS OF QUARANTINED COMMUNITIES IN ST. MARY ARE ABLE TO FILL THEIR PRESCRIPTIONS

KINGSTON, Jamaica … May 11, 2020 – The National Health Fund (NHF) made its first visit to the quarantined area of Annotto Bay in St. Mary on Saturday, May 9, 2020, and forty-five (45) prescriptions were filled.
Mr. Everton Anderson, CEO of the NHF said, “I would like to reassure the residents of St. Mary, who are currently under quarantined that we will continue to offer our pharmacy services at the centralized pick-up points in the parish. Through our pharmacy mobile services, the team, comprises of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians started on Saturday, May 9, 2020, and was able to fill forty-five (45) prescriptions”
“Just as we did in Seven Miles and Eight Miles in Bull Bay, St. Andrew and in Corn Piece Settlement in Clarendon, we will continue to provide the same quality services to the residents of communities under quarantine in St. Mary, according to the scheduled dates,” he added.
The scheduled pharmacy services are as follows;
The community of Dover will receive pharmacy services on Tuesday, May 12 and 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 3: 00 p.m., at the Dover Community Centre.
On Thursday, May 14, and Wednesday, May 20 from 10: a.m. to 3: 00 p.m., pharmacy services will be delivered in Enfield at the Enfield Health Centre.
Additionally, the team will return to Annotto Bay Town Square/ Annotto Bay Police Station on Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 10 am – 3 pm to provide services to the communities of Port Arthur Lane, Guptar, Westmoreland, Iter Boreale (IB), and Forte Stewart.
Residents can submit their prescription using the Quick Prescript Mobile App, by texting 876-219-9937/ 876-219-9929 or place prescription in a drop box which will be available at security checkpoints.
