NHF CONDUCTING TRAINING FOR STAKEHOLDERS OF ITS INSTITUTIONAL BENEFITS

The National Health Fund (NHF) is now conducting a number of training seminars on its Institutional Benefits Fund to educate stakeholders on the benefits of the Fund and how to access it. Seminars have been held for Regional Directors, Regional Technical Directors, Management and Information Systems Directors, Human Resources Managers and Directors of Operations Management in the four health regions.

Another seminar is scheduled for later this month for Medical Officers of Health, Senior Public Health Inspectors and Nurses and Regional Environment Officers. Seminars will also be scheduled for health related non-government organizations.

NHF Institutional Benefits are available to organizations that meet the priorities established on a project basis for all areas of health care. The benefits are provided through a Health Promotion & Protection Fund and the Health Support Fund.

The Health Promotion & Protection Fund provides funding for public and private sector projects in educational and primary care activities that promote healthy lifestyles, protect health and prevent illnesses in support of the national healthcare policy.

The Health Support Fund provides funding for public sector infrastructure and development projects that support the National Healthcare Policy with the PAHO Essential Public Health Functions as an evaluation guide.
