NHF Grant To Assist With Construction Of Multi -Purpose Children?s Home & Hospice For Missionaries Of The Poor

The National Health Fund (NHF) is to assist the Missionaries of the Poor with the construction of the first phase of Mount Beatitude, a Multi ?Purpose Children?s Home and Hospice at their Norbrook Mountain compound in Golden Spring, St. Andrew. The children?s hospice will have facilities to house, feed, educate and care for the children as well as to accommodate and provide for caregivers and volunteers.

Very Reverend Father Richard Ho Lung, Superior General for the Missionaries of the Poor, says he is most grateful to the NHF for the grant which will assist with the construction of the building complex. ?On completion it will provide for children who have been abandoned or made destitute as a result of being mentally and physically challenged or have been affected by HIV/AIDS; and the buildings will be located on a beautiful part of the Norbrook Mountain compound featuring rolling hills and mountains,? Father Ho Lung said.

Approximately thirty (30) children will be accommodated at Mount Beatitude when the first phase of the hospice is completed.
