The prizes were announced at an Awards function in Kingston on Tuesday August 4, 2009 at the Knutsford Court Hotel. Mr. Hugh Lawson, Speaking at the function said. “The NHF believes it is important to start at an early age to promote healthy living, so that when children are older they will not depart from it and we will have a healthier society in the future.”

The posters were judged based on creativity, neatness, effectiveness of message, originality and attractiveness.
